Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) is currently evaluating a 3-door, 2-staircase MAN Lion’s City DD L Concept Bus. Bearing the registration plate SG5999Z, the double-deck bus is currently undergoing revenue service trials on Bus Service 143, operated by Tower Transit Singapore.

The Mercedes-Benz O405G (Hispano Carrocera Mark II) is the second generation of Mercedes-Benz O405G articulated buses acquired by Trans-Island Bus Services (TIBS), the predecessor of SMRT Buses.
Apart from an updated exterior design, the O405G Hispano Mark II buses are similar to the earlier Hispano Mark I buses and later Hispano Habit buses in terms of technical specifications and interior layout.

Mobileye Collision Avoidance System
Local bus operator SBS Transit is investing in technology to increase the competency of its Bus Captains. In recent months, the Mobileye anti-collision alert system has been progressively installed on SBS Transit buses, helping to reinforce safe driving behaviour and reducing the chance of accidents. Acting as an ‘extra pair of eyes’, the system alerts Bus Captains to vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists on the roads with visual and audible alerts.
