Mercedes-Benz O405G (Hispano Mark II)
The Mercedes-Benz O405G (Hispano Carrocera Mark II) is the second generation of Mercedes-Benz O405G articulated buses acquired by Trans-Island Bus Services (TIBS), the predecessor of SMRT Buses.
Apart from an updated exterior design, the O405G Hispano Mark II buses are similar to the earlier Hispano Mark I buses and later Hispano Habit buses in terms of technical specifications and interior layout.

New MAN Lion’s City Facelift DD Buses
The first MAN Lion’s City Face-lifted Double-Decker Buses made their revenue service debut on 14 February 2017. Purchased by LTA in September 2016, 122 such buses feature a face-lifted design with aesthetic modifications to the front and rear, as well as USB Charging Ports.

A SMRT Bendy Bus was involved in an accident with a car in Yew Tee, leaving the damaged bus stuck on a pavement. The incident unfolded in the afternoon of Sunday, 8th January 2017, outside Block 689B and near the junction between Choa Chu Kang Drive and Choa Chu Kang Cres. The bus involved was TIB1214B, a SMRT Mercedes-Benz O405G plying Service 302 at the time of incident.
