Kranji Depot is a bus depot serving the north-west of Singapore. It provides maintenance and refuelling work for buses operating on SMRT routes in the vicinity and is commonly referred to as KJDEP. The single-storey depot is situated within the Kranji Industrial Estate, with office-cum-canteen building, workshop, washing shed and other ancillary facilities.

The depot was one of two new depots constructed by Trans-Island Bus Service (TIBS) in the 1980s, after its founding on 31 May 1982. The company was founded to answer the Government’s invitation for a second bus company as a benchmark against Singapore Bus Service (SBS), in the hopes that healthy competition would bring about a better level of service. The company started off with temporary depots in Ang Mo Kio and Kranji close to the eventual location of their permanent depots. Ang Mo Kio Depot commenced use in 1985, while Kranji Depot would operate out of a temporary location (somewhere along Kranji Loop) until the completion of Kranji Depot sometime around 1989.

TIBS Kranji Depot is located on lot MK11-00920W, and as per SLA records, was commissioned on 7 January 1972. Intermediate amendments are not known, but the leasehold was set to expire in mid-2003 as per SMRT annual reports in this period. After this lapsed, a subsequent 10-year lease was granted effective 1 January 2005, which has also since lapsed.

Between August 2014 and July 2015, a portion of buses were transferred to Bulim Bus Depot‘s Bus Park for overnight parking while the main depot was under construction. From April 2017, Ulu Pandan Bus Depot‘s Bus Park was also used for overnight parking while the main depot was under construction.
