City Direct Bus Service 683, operated by Go-Ahead Singapore, is a weekday peak-hour City Direct service connecting Punggol East to Dhoby Ghaut, Orchard and Novena. It is introduced under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP).

Service 683 offers residents of Punggol East improved connectivity to the Orchard area, providing a direct travel alternative to commuters who typically rely on the rail network and feeder buses. As a City Direct service, it only operates on weekdays.
If the eves of Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Chinese New Year fall on a weekday, the Evening Peak departures will be brought forward to the afternoon. Revised departure times will be provided by the operator closer to the affected date.
At launch, the service was planned to serve an additional 2 new bus stops along Punggol East in the future, of which one of them started on 28 Dec 2025.

This bus service should never discontinue. It is a very good and useful bus service. I would rate it full marks. The best bus service in Punggol so far. Pls stay long 683, my favourite bus service. Thank you LTA for making Punggol a better home for all.
Should make it full day or at least extend operating hours
Very happy and good to have this new bus service. Would be better if can extend peak hours operate from 7am to 9am and 5pm to 7pm
