The Seletar Bus Package is the third set of public bus services to be put up for tender under the Bus Contracting Model, following the Bulim Bus Package and Loyang Bus Package.
The Seletar Bus Package was awarded to SBS Transit in April 2017 and commenced in March 2018 with 26 bus routes then. The two-year extension was first published by SBS Transit in its 1st Quarter 2022 Business Update announced on 13 May 2022.
LTA’s planning and actions really contradict a lot. If want to show that BCM really works and serious about it, should just let the contract run till 2023 and let other operators bid for it. If they can let SBST compete against SMRT in rail why not let other bus companies do the same for buses? Like this might as well scrap BCM.
Might as well give Loyang,CCK & Woodlands to SBST better than throw the BCM into dustbin. The system is really broken…
Kanasai la,Already 5 packages going to extend yet Seletar also extend.Bukit Merah is impossible to lose also..Like that better close the BCM and award all packages to SBST better.
Go-Ahead no chance already
Is it likely that all 20 byd k9 will go over to another operator if that operator wins Seletar? Pretty sure only Seletar has chargers for the byd k9. Anyways i wished the MAN A24 wouldnt only be exclusive to Seletar only or in other words, stuck in Yishun Feeders only.
Yes, all Seletar buses including the BYD ebuses will go to the new operator should SBST lose the package. Hopefully after 2027 award to another company.
2025..
Hope Seletar and Sembawang get farmed out together in that case.
*2025
Where do the C6 charge? TT Sembawang has those for 825.
