Bus Display
4 buses were put on display at the Ulu Pandan Bus Carnival.
ST Autonomous Mini-Bus (Autobus), RD3154K
The Singapore Technologies (ST) Autonomous Mini-bus, or the ST Autobus, is an autonomous, low-floor, battery-electric single-deck city bus built by ST Engineering Land Systems (formerly known as ST Kinetics). Currently under testing and development, 2 units of the ST Autobus are slated for passenger trials over 3 months in 2019, operating a 5 km route within Sentosa Island (likely the Sentosa Beach Tram Route).
Volvo B8L Euro 6, SG4003D
Previously showcased at Seletar Bus Depot Carnival, the Volvo B8L was once again showcased at the Ulu Pandan Bus Depot Carnival. The bus currently operates on SBS Transit Bus Service 71.
3-door MAN Lion’s City DD 12.8m, SG5999Z
Also previously showcased at Seletar Bus Depot Carnival, the crowd’s favourite MAN A95 3-Door Bus was once again displayed here. The bus is one-of-its-kind, being the first double-decker bus in Singapore to feature 3 doors and 2 staircases.
Prior to the carnival, the bus was operating on SBS Transit Bus Service 7. The rimcaps were removed and replaced with red wheel lock nut indicators.
Do all bus services’ buses assigned to Bukit Merah Bus Package be eventually transferred to Ulu Pandan Depot? I noticed for instance service 145 buses some of them are still coming from Braddell Bus Park.
Some routes not belonging to Bukit Merah contract are also based at UPDEP. These are 65, 80 and 132.
