DE1 MRT Station is an upcoming underground station along the Downtown Line 2 Extension (DTL2e). It will be built near Sungei Kadut Avenue.
The station was officially announced as part of DTL2e by the Land Transport Authority in January 2025. Construction works are expected to commence in Q4 2025, with the station opening by 2035.

DE1 MRT Station could be linked with the future Jurong Region Line in the future so that commuters can change from Jurong Region Line to Downtown Line seamlessly without going to Jurong East MRT and this will help to relieve crowds on the North South Line and East West Line as well as the Jurong East MRT.

Then DE2 station should be called Sungei Gedong.
10 years just to build DT1 & DT2 is a long time comparing to previous MRT lines.
I am still waiting for the Jurong Region Line West Coast Extension to be finalised.
