End of Trial: Service Suspension for A&S Transit Night Bus Services NS-1 & NS-2

The trial period for A&S Transit Night Bus Services NS-1 & NS-2 will end on Sunday, 25 June 2023.
As such, A&S Transit will be suspending these night bus services until further notice, pending route enhancement.
The last day of service will be from 11:30pm on Saturday, 24 June 2023 till 2:30am on Sunday, 25 June 2023.

I think why not make some normal and some feeder buses which is in high demand to make it 24 hours or till 3 to 4am? Like example 409 and 390? 409 used to run till 3am from harbourfront to mount faber and 390 or 36 that goes till 3am from changi airport to Tomlinson road.
It’s another way of saying that it is not profitable, and they are losing money.
They should consider offering weekday morning and evening shuttle bus service to under-covered employment places (eg. Jalan Buroh, Tuas South, etc), with the same operating pattern as the City Direct bus services. It may be profitable.
Financial sustainability is very important in ensuring the long-term operations of the business.
Agree, it is a wishlist for night commuters but at end of day, it’s still dollars & cents.
Also, A&S routes are not well-marketed as compared to previous night services operated by SBS and SMRT, and it’s a trend more are taking grab.
