Bishan Integrated Transport Hub

Bishan Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) is an upcoming bus interchange located near the existing Bishan Bus Interchange, Bishan MRT Station and Bishan Town Centre. It will be part of the Bishan Sub-Regional Centre.

Plans

The air-conditioned bus interchange may be integrated with a hawker centre. Plans for Bishan ITH were first mentioned to the media by National Development Minister Mr Chee Hong Tat at the sidelines of the PA Family PLAYGround event held at Toa Payoh West Community Club on 21 June 2025.

At the launch of the Draft Master Plan 2025 on 25 June 2025, Bishan ITH was mentioned to be part of the revamped Bishan Town Centre.

Location

Based on the renders, the ITH is likely to be bounded by Bishan Place and Bishan Street 15, next to Exit D of the Bishan Circle Line station.

The current Bishan Interchange is one of the ‘originals’, while it’s good to have a air-conditioned Interchange finally. Hopefully, Hougang will also have air-conditioned Interchange one day.

Hougang is one of the few that will get ITH and I think Hougang will ready first before Bishan.

Hougang will be the last few because uh hmm u know whose area it belongs to. It’s been announced yet again anyways.

But OG knows, hougang integrated transport hub was announced in 2014’s masterplan, then it went quiet until it re-appear again recently.

This will mean that Bukit Merah Int will likely be one of the oldest bus interchanges to be left. Keep in mind that Tiong Bahru ITH is likely to be shelved or at least to replace Kampong Bahru Ter. Since the Seletar Tengah Line is still under study, if there is any potential for BM to get an ITH, my prediction of the MRT exit and ITH would likely be where those former 7-storey flats along Redhill Close, which is also opposite the current Bukit Merah Town Centre.
