Four days after the Bus ETA System was reset, bus services continue to be plagued with missing bus arrivals timings.
The Land Transport Authority previously announced on 22 January 2026 that reconfiguration of the Bus ETA System will take around 4 days to complete. As of publication time, the LTA has yet to issue an update on the issue.
UPDATE: Bus arrival timings have been restored to around 85% as of 28 January 2026. Another 1000 buses require manual firmware updates and will be restored early next week according to LTA’s press release.
A quick check during the evening peak hours reflect several bus services affected by “ghost buses” – buses that do not appear on bus arrival timings despite operating normally.
At Ang Mo Kio Station, no bus arrivals were displayed for Bus Service 132.

At Aft Punggol Rd, Bus Service 89 displayed at 44 minute wait. MacRitchie Reservoir had multiple bus services displaying limited bus arrivals, including Bus Service 93 which only displayed at 34 minute wait.
Similarly at Clementi Station Exit A, multiple bus services appear to be affected, with a 43 minute wait for Bus 105 and a 23 minute wait for Bus 96.

1 week later (4 Feb), how’s the status?
Not fully resolved yet, there are still some glitches that we never knew. I wanted to take bus service 5 from Eunos to Toa Payoh to change to bus service 154 towards Clementi but the arrival display only showed that bus service 5 would be arriving in 34 minutes and there was no other bus service arrivals in between nor any other alternative services, hence I had to take bus service 94 to Eunos MRT and change to the MRT towards Clementi.
Today I was going to board 99,but when I check the ETA, is shows 240,4 mins DD, but soon a MAN A22 came. Then, the 99 came. Rather than the SD, and diffrent timing, it was a DD! Lta Bug is too mich
本來應該崇崇榮榮有本由於,現在是衝衝忙忙連滾帶爬。睜眼說瞎話,你在哽咽什麼啦。你在哭什麼哭,沒出息。
Supposed to have auxiliary back up supply, now is rushing to get things back up. Openly make blanket statements, what exactly are they saying la. Really no need to make a big hooha out of it, if the set up was comprehensive in the first place.
