Service 104 connects residents in Northshore, Sumang, Buangkok, Serangoon and Bidadari to nearby transport nodes such as Punggol Coast, Buangkok, Serangoon and Woodleigh MRT Stations along the North-East Line. It is introduced under the LTA’s Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP).
The service is launched as an enhancement and extension of Service 43M, which was withdrawn on 26 October 2025. Service 43M plied between Punggol and Serangoon Central (Loop).
Key differences from Service 43M include:
- Northern extension to Punggol Coast Int, via Punggol Way & Northshore Drive
- Amendment to serve Sumang Walk / Sumang Lane
- Amendment to ply the newly extended Buangkok Drive
- Southern extension to Woodleigh Int, via Serangoon Avenue 1 & Bidadari Park Drive
Passengers should note that this service skips Bus Stop 65711 (Blk 446B) along New Punggol Road; the bus stop outside HDB Punggol Point Cove in the direction of Punggol Coast.

Plans
On 24 June 2025, Member of Parliament for Punggol GRC Ms Sun Xueling revealed in a social media post that a new trunk bus service 104 between Punggol Coast & Woodleigh is planned to commence in the coming months.
Key catchment areas for Service 104 in the Punggol area were shared, such as the Sumang / Matilda and Northshore areas. Service 104 would bring direct connections for Punggol residents to Sengkang, Buangkok, Serangoon, and Woodleigh.
On 2 Oct 2025, Ms Sun Xueling posted on social media regarding the launch of Service 104 from 26 Oct 2025. In the service poster from the operator website (obtained from the QR code in the poster), Service 104 was indicated to serve a new bus stop (65669 – Northshore Pr Sch) along Northshore Drive towards Woodleigh Int in the future.
However, the updated poster released by the Land Transport Authority on 12 October 2025 showed that Service 104 will serve bus stop 65669 – Northshore Pr Sch at launch.

I really hope this goes to Fernvale (Seletar Mall) > Buangkok Dr, Crescent > Serangoon. Buangkok Cres residents desperately need connections to Seletar Mall and direct access to Circle Line at Serangoon.
Same bro as a Fernvale resident we also want access to the Sengkang Grand Mall and Buangkok MRT
Bus 101 already goes to Serangoon. So what we need would be just the connection to Seletar Mall in this case
Agree but 101 is quite windy in Hougang. Would prefer a service that goes directly to Serangoon via YCK Road.
Matilda is such a stupid name for a neighbourhood btw but anyway.
I thought 104 was going to just be a renumbering of 43M since that’s what people were saying, but it seems to be quite different (or at least extended, I think LTA knows it cant get away with routing 104 through Sumang and Punggol Way and skipping Punggol Central itself and calling it a remembering of 43M). So I wonder if we’ll see 43M axed a few months after 104 comes into play instead.
Matilda house probably?
One guy also say that 109 will be shortened in future dunno if its true.. 109 is not that long why the need to shorted?
109 shortening? That seems plausible given CRL, but how does one sacrifice either sector without losses? I would suspect the Pasir Ris side to be the one getting cut off. Who’s your source btw and where did he say 109 will be cut?
Of course people with source won’t openly share how they got it.
It’s been rumoured 109 will be cut to Punggol Coast Changi Village. The whole northeast side (Hougang, serangoon) will be cut. Some deleted sectors will be covered by 104 (But GL to hougang and serangoon residences). This is said to be coming in September.
Obviously this is a stupid amendment since ironically 109 demand is from mainly from the northeast side. But u (lta) do u (lta) I guess.
definitely will not shorten for 109. Firstly, you can see how packed it is starting from serangoon and that why they even have 109A. In additional, Pasir Ris side has good number of passenger and they have a unique bus stop that is served by 109 only, which is opp Loyang point. They need to serve the resident there as well.
My goodness what?! They can’t seriously be considering that! Unless 104 actually covers 109’s Hougang sectors, but I highly suspect 104 serves Buangkok Drive. Even then, the high demand originating from Hougang to Serangoon and TPE makes 109 cutting to PGC (PGC of all darn places) a stupid idea. Really hope they scrap that bullcrap
Hope so that it pass buangkok -> fernvale -> yck -> serangoon
PGC – Northshore (384/84 area) – Matilda (382’s area) – 43M route – Serangoon Ave 1 (suspect) – Bidadari Pk Dr – Woodleigh
It’s basically 43M renumbered, though I’m quite surprised they revealed it so early, and as a new service instead of “renumbering of service”
I suspect this serves the entire length of Buangkok Drive, seeing as it conveniently passes through the area, is a new service, is renumbered from 43M (which means sectors between Punggol & Serangoon should change), and is being introduced around the time Buangkok Drive fully opens (End of August)
Two months after GE2025 seems… early enough
Feels like post-election vote buying by the Punggol MPs to me
Hahaha its because those WP contested area where they gain much percentage from the incumbent.Tampines after only winning 52% also start to wake up after intake of so many Indian born PRs and citizens here. Town councils in Tampines now getting bad to worse and I am in the process of moving to Woodlands.
bro dont be racist can
Facts is facts. Too bad. Next time one feeder bus ride gonna cost $1>
Oh and I also hope it will loop via Fernvale Lane😊.
