Service 151e plies between Hougang Central and Kent Ridge, connecting residential areas of Hougang and Jalan Toa Payoh with many educational institutions around Clementi Road and Kent Ridge. By skipping selected stops along its route, it offers quicker travel time as compared to its parent service 151.

The route skips selected stops along Hougang Avenue 3 and Jalan Toa Payoh, and all stops along Airport Road, MacPherson Road, Whitley Road and Bukit Timah Road / Dunearn Road in both directions.

Between Jalan Toa Payoh and Clementi Road, the bus plies an express sector along the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) in both directions.

Formerly known as Fast Forward Bus Service 151e, it was rebranded to Express Bus Service 151e on 12 August 2018.
