Introduced in 1979, Service 25 is an important inter-town route connecting residential estates of Ang Mo Kio, Hougang, Eunos and Bedok to Ang Mo Kio, Kembangan and Bedok MRT stations. The route serves the full stretch of Hougang Avenue 2 and 3, and as such, the route is highly direct in nature, providing the quickest route between estates. In April 2017, it was extended from Bedok to Upper East Coast Terminal.
Demand for this route is high due to residential and industrial areas served, so double-decker buses make up the bulk of the fleet. The route runs parallel to Bus Service 854 between Bedok and Yio Chu Kang Road, as well as Service 55 between Ang Mo Kio and Eunos.

this route is quite useless just integrated this svc with 55 and 854/e. after that, amend 25 to Clementi instead, and improve 55 and 854 frequency to replace 25’s lost sectors
They have since been redrawn & replaced by B9TL WEG2, a few spots are still empty but i suspect sbs will fill them in soon. Btw the CDGES on 25 hasnt been scrapped, they are just in amk depot. However some CDGES do in fact sometimes perform cameos on 25 & other svrs but they are not 25 perms anymore. Suspect sbs remove them due to the fact they are the last of the euro 3 emission
