Service 33 spans East to West, linking Bedok with Kent Ridge and surrounding areas. From Bedok, the route passes through Telok Kurau, Joo Chiat, Old Airport, Kallang, Bugis, Clarke Quay and Chinatown, continuing west to Tiong Bahru, Redhill, AYE, Dover and Kent Ridge. As an inter-town route, demand is good and spread out through the route.
Residents of Joo Chiat and Telok Kurau frequently rely on this route for connections to nearby Kembangan and Dakota MRT stations. Within the central areas, Service 33’s direct routing between Outram Park and Lavender makes it a popular route between the two areas, while serving Clarke Quay, Bras Basah and Bugis. As such, the route encounters moderate to high demand throughout the day.

I saw an MAN 22 Bus on Scv 33 near Kent Ridge MRT
Joo Chiat Area, why service 16 can have Double Deck while Service 33 cannot? Don’t come say height and narrow area in Joo Chiat , thenwhy servuce 16 can have double deck.
Seeing how 15, 135, 150 and 155 all also don’t have double deck I’m inclined to think Telok Kurau/Joo Chiat Pl still has restrictions
I’m at opp Hong LiM park station waiting for bus No 33 about 9:45pm I waved my hand to your driver even he saw me but he never stop some more drive too fast ! Now I haven’t catch the next bus ! It’s too bad !!! Plz check with your driver about this!
What studies have we conducted on the usage frequency of bus 33 ? I feel that we need to increase its service during peak hours. I often have to wait 13 minutes+ and there is no alternative bus to the Joo Chiat Lane area.
Currently only Bus 16 and 33 plies the Joo Chiat area. With Service 33 plying west of Joo Chiat and 16 plying East of Joo Chiat to Marine Parade.
