Express 74e is discontinued from 17 January 2022. The last day of service was on Friday, 14 January 2022.

Service 74e plied between Hougang Central and Buona Vista, connecting Hougang, Ang Mo Kio and Bishan with Clementi Road and Holland Village. By skipping selected stops along its route, it offers quicker travel time as compared to its parent service 74.

The route skips stops along Adam Road, Dunearn Road / Bukit Timah Road, Dover Avenue, Dover Road, North Bouna Vista Road in both directions, as well as several bus stops along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 & Hougang Avenue 8.

Between Marymount Road and Clementi Road in both directions, the bus service plies Lornie Highway & PIE as its express sector.

Much of its demand comes from serving the academic belt along Clementi Road.

Formerly known as Fast Forward Bus Service 74e, it was rebranded to Express Bus Service 74e on 12 August 2018.
