Bus Service 967 is a trunk route connecting housing estates and local amenities around Woodlands, Marsiling, and Woodlands South. The route serves Woodlands Ave 3, Woodlands St 41, Woodlands Ave 1 and Woodlands Dr 17, with connections to Woodlands Regional Centre, Marsiling MRT and Woodlands South MRT.

This service was introduced under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP), a scheme launched in 2024 that facilitated the introduction of new bus services and the enhancement of existing bus services. Apart from serving new and upcoming HDB BTO estates and condominiums in Woodlands South (e.g. HDB Champions Green, HDB Champions Bliss, HDB Woodlands South Plains, Norwood Grand condo), Bus Service 967 opens up new intra-town connections, between Woodlands South and Marsiling via Woodlands Avenue 1 thereby boosting connectivity within the Woodlands estate. Bus Service 912M was withdrawn in tandem with the introduction of this service.

Major schools and amenities served by this service include:

  • Woodlands Regional Centre (Causeway Point / Woods Square)
  • Woodlands Stadium / Woodlands Sports Hall
  • Marsiling Mall
  • Marsiling Point
  • Woodlands Polyclinic
  • Singapore American School
  • Fuchun Primary School
  • Fuchun Secondary School
  • The Woodgrove Mall
  • Si Ling Primary School
  • Woodgrove Primary School
  • Woodgrove Secondary School
  • ACE The Place Community Club
  • Woodlands Health Campus
  • Christ Church Secondary School
  • Innova Primary School

Despite running entirely within the Woodlands estate, it is classified as a trunk service, not a feeder bus service.

Also looks like WTBI is here to stay while Compassvale has closed and Tampines Concourse may close some time in future.

913M is a living example of loss-making service. Feeder (variant) service yet no demand even capping at 20 mins.

This should be a feeder service using 90x numbering tbh.

first (oh wait we dont do that here)

Looking at this bus route, it seems to just try to allow commuters from Woodlands South an option to take the bus to Marsiling instead, after all, all they have is 900 and 901 (and a CDS but that only operates during peak hours)

However, I feel like there is way more potential to this bus route. By possibly extending this bus route onto SLE, that brings out the potential. So here, I will suggest extending it to Sengkang West, via…

SLE, CTE, Sengkang West Way, Fernvale Road, Fernvale Street, Anchorvale Street, Sengkang East Road, Sengkang East Way, Punggol Road, Sengkang East Avenue and Sengkang Central before terminating at Buangkok Int, probably Berth B2 since there are extra end on lots between it and Berth B3.

This not only allows residents of Woodlands South (and maybe Woodgrove as well) access to more places, but also gives residents of Sengkang West as well better access to the north. There could be some issues with the route, in particular the fact that it duplicates 163 from Sengkang to Ranggung, so an alternative could be running it straight onto Sengkang East Way and turning it after Compassvale, or we could modify 163 instead to run there, reaching Sengkang via Sengkang East Road.

However, the ACTUAL main issue is probably the fact that we have not seen any full-flung trunk services in a very long time and it dosen’t look like any will be created soon. But a suggestion, is still a suggestion, and thats all that counts (to me)

U wanna pay the operating cost on behalf of the taxpayers? Think introducing long haul trunk service so easy? BCM is such a loss making initiative already.

Well nobody told them point blank to do BCM. If LTA had just focused on good services instead of “increasing competition”, we could have had better results. But LTA is too egotistic for that.

Should have passed Woodlands St 13 instead. 911 is always being heavily used by Malaysians to go to Checkpoint. 911A no fixed timetable during peak hours.

Route should be amended instead. Too much buses already plying to Marsiling MRT. A better route will be Woodlands Temp Int >> Woodlands Street 13 >> Woodlands St 42 >> Woodlands Ave 1 >> Woodlands Dr 17 >>…. Return trip slight amendment; turn right to Marsiling MRT then to Woodlands Temp Int.

Suggest you should go have a look at 911A’s demand, barely hitting 7-15 pax demand.

You are saying as if St 13 demand is so high that it can fill up the entire single deck.

I suggest that once Chencharu Bus Interchange opens, 967 extends to Chencharu from Woodlands plying it’s original route via Woodlands Avenue 3/1, Woodlands Street 41, Woodlands Avenue 1, Champions Way & Woodlands Drive 17, 967 will skip Woodlands South MRT along Woodlands Avenue 1. 967’s extended route will ply via Woodlands 1/12, SLE, Mandai Avenue, Yishun Avenue 1/2 & Chencharu Link/Estate.

967’s extension to Chencharu, will supplement Students from Singapore American School & Woodlands South residents to get to Chencharu.
