To be honest the new 993 should be under Bulim Package.

Why must it be under Bulim Package? It is a renumbered service and operate out from Jurong East Interchange? So even if JE interchange is operated by TTS, that doesn’t give the rights for Svc 993 to be solely be operated by TTS.
Any operator also can operate any services here. Then like that, I want Svc 67 & 172 should be part of Tampines Package and Jurong West Package.

67 and 172 are fine where they are. 61 better off in Bulim or Serangoon while 117 better off in Loyang, 136 in Hougang and 169 in Seletar.

I have no idea why so many people are bent on making 993 part of Tower Transit

Its because 993 is in a region mainly served by buses under the bulim bus package which is operated by tower transit.

I prefer SMB Chua Chu Kang package. Just move 190 out to Bukit Merah. How hard can it be?

Maybe because TTS is an Angmoh company and Singaporean likes Angmoh more than the good old SBS

160 and 993 should join bulim bcm. Also, i rather renumber 160M into 146

160 and 993 are part of BM as it would be costly and troublesome to register TTS with APAD

According to other enthusiasts, under the law. Renumber/merge with service CANNOT change operator in the initial days. I think they will do swap once times up (like awaiting 2nd term of Bukit Merah).

Well, the Ulu Pandan Bus Package don’t have 993 when it was first awarded, so this is probably going to be a negotiated contract, like 974 initially when it was under Tower Transit.

It had 160M, which became 993. Negotiated contract is for new bus svcs not renumbered svcs.

There’s no such law. There were several of such service numbers being renumbered before and if there’s really such a law, all PTOs will be charged for such a practice.

993 is most likely going to be rebubdled under Bulim eventually some time in the future, probably when the current term of PT217A Bulim ends in 2026.

Bus service renumberings were a thing of the past, and was done in the duopoly era between SBST and TIBS. Nowadays, renumbering is done when converting feeder svc to trunk svc or separating an M svc from its parent svc. 993 is going to remain under Bt Merah Bus Package as it had been under 160M. Also, bus svcs under TIBS were renumbered AFTER they acquired the svc, not before they acquire the svc.

just because the number doesn’t fit the operator, doesn’t mean must swap operator, 993 is under Bt Merah Package and will be under SBST.
