Background:
Gelang Patah is a small town 25 kilometres west of Johor Bahru, and located just off the Second Link Expressway. Within the town is Gelang Patah Bus Terminal, which is a transport node for local bus connections branching out to other nearby towns. It is located at the junction of Jalan Gelang Patah, Jalan Ulu Choh and Jalan Skudai-Gelang Patah.
The terminal should not be confused with Gelang Patah Sentral Bus Terminal (also known as GP Sentral) located further north, which serves both local Johor Bahru bus routes and intercity bus routes. It is located near the intersection of Pontian Highway and Jalan Ulu Choh.

The Terminal:
Gelang Patah Terminal features alighting and boarding berths, both with a capacity for two buses, and a bus park with lots for 10 buses. The terminal building features canteen stalls and retail outlets, along with toilets, prayer rooms, bus waiting areas and a Manjalink counter. In addition, there is a taxi stand and an attached public carpark.
On 1 October 2014, the terminal was closed for renovation, and bus services were relocated to a temporary terminal at Medan Nusa Perintis 1. However, this temporary terminal was closed to passengers from 1 February 2015 to facilitate the construction of Medan Selera Iskandar Malaysia. Existing Bus Services CW4, 52T, IM05, IM07 and 666 were extended to GP Sentral, and passenger boarding/alighting of passing-by services (CW3/CW3L/CW4/CW4S/52T/LM1/IM07/666) was moved to a pair of bus stops along the main road.
The renovated terminal re-opened on 11 September 2016 and existing bus services were moved back to the terminal.
Bus Services:
The terminal serves local bus services to Gelang Patah Sentral, Larkin and Pendas. Other bus services head to CIQ 2nd Link for bus connections to Singapore.

Actually, if our Singapore public bus want to use Tuas Second Link to cross to Malaysia, almost certainly will terminate at Gelang Patah bus terminal.
But no economic activities like shopping centre. And also, Bukit Indah nearer to Causeway.
There’s where Causeway Link come in to fill in the gap.
End of story.
