In January 2024, the route was extended to serve Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and MRSM Johor Bahru (MARA Junior Science College) and operate in a bidirectional loop arrangement, with alternating clockwise and counter-clockwise loop departures.
Later in 2026, the route was amended to only operate in one direction and start from Pasir Gudang terminal.

During school days on Mondays – Fridays, P312 (Hybrid) operates 3 trips at 06:40, 12:00 & 18:45 from Pasir Gudang, serving SMK Pasir Gudang 3.
