Woodlands North Bus Interchange is an upcoming Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) located at Woodlands North, currently under construction.
The bus interchange is part of the Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH), which is part of a larger mixed-use Business-White development at Woodlands Gateway.
At the heart of Woodlands North Coast, the interchange will have offices, shops and restaurants above, and connect underground to the Woodlands North MRT Station and the Singapore–Johor Bahru Rapid Transit System (RTS Link).
The interchange, along with the retail mall, is currently planned to be completed around year 2030, as part of the first phase of construction of Woodlands Gateway by the Jurong Town Corporation (JTC). This was mentioned by JTC in response to media inquiries by Lianhe Zaobao.
Planning
2013 Draft Master Plan
Plans for the interchange were first mooted as part of the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA)’s 2013 Draft Master Plan. However, the ITH was later not reflected in the URA 2019 Draft Master Plan, nor mentioned in the Land Transport Master Plan 2040, indicating that plans have likely been shelved.
2025 Draft Master Plan
In October 2024, plans for the Upcoming Developments for Our Business Nodes as part of the Draft Master Plan 2025 were released by the Urban Redevelopment Authority.
A new Multi-Modal Transport Hub next to Woodlands North MRT was indicated in the plans as part of Woodlands Gateway, providing a seamless connection between the MRT, buses, and the Johor-Singapore RTS.
With the launch of the URA Draft Master Plan 2025, a new render was released for the MMTH. The MMTH was mentioned as part of the plan on “Growing the Woodlands Regional Centre”.

961 cannot extend here it’s already too long.
Woodlands North should take 178(Terminate at Jurong East) , 187, 962,967 and introduce two new feeder and 1 short trunk to Senoko to supplement 856 thus can withdraw 856B.
950, 961 and 965 can move to ITH.
This is probably why the Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange remains in use, even though the Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub has been open for several years.
I am not suggesting that the services currently operating from the Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange will necessarily move to the future Woodlands North Integrated Transport Hub. Rather, the key issue is the overall interchange capacity available in the Woodlands area, including both Woodlands and Woodlands North.
Once the Woodlands North Integrated Transport Hub opens, its capacity may be sufficient to replace that of the temporary interchange, which would likely lead to a reorganisation of bus services. Some routes from the existing Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub and/or the temporary interchange may be relocated. In any case, it seems likely that the Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange will close when the Woodlands North Integrated Transport Hub opens in the 2030s.
