Feeder Service 230 is a short-distance route linking new residential estates at Kim Keat and Toa Payoh East with Toa Payoh Town Centre and MRT Station.
Plans for this service were revealed by Mr Chee Hong Tat, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Finance & Ministry of Transport as well as Member of Parliament for Bishan–Toa Payoh GRC (Toa Payoh West–Thomson) in a Facebook post in April 2023. According to the post, the service would be ‘implemented in the coming months’. It was later launched on 24 September 2023.
Future Route Extension to Caldecott MRT
At the launch of the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP) in July 2024, a bus service was slated to be extended to connect residents in Toa Payoh East to Caldecott MRT station, to improve connectivity from Toa Payoh East to the Thomson-East Coast Line and the Circle Line. LTA had planned to introduce this bus service by the end of 2024.
However, in an update on 6 December 2024, LTA revealed that this bus service would be Bus Service 230, with extensions to Toa Payoh Lorong 7 and 8, as well as to Caldecott MRT station. The implementation date has now been revised to February 2025, with Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat explaining that the delay was due to the additional time needed to construct the new bus stops for the extensions.

After the route extension, 230 will be the only feeder service (excluding short-trip services) not to terminate at a bus interchange!
265 and 268 also don’t terminate at an interchange
Can’t they construct bus stops in Lorong 1A?!
