Service 84G connects residential areas in Northshore and Punggol North with key amenities in Punggol Town Centre, Punggol Point, and the new Punggol Digital District, which includes the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) Punggol Campus.

On 23 June 2024, Service 84 was divided into two variants: 84G (Green, for the clockwise route) and 84W (White, for the anti-clockwise route). Service 84G operates clockwise via Sentul Crescent, Punggol Way, Northshore Drive (Samudera LRT), and New Punggol Road towards Punggol Interchange, while Service 84W operates in the reverse direction.

Both services serve 3 pairs of bus stops in common along Punggol Central, Punggol Road and New Punggol Road.
