Tower Transit unveiled Singapore’s first Wedding Bus at its TTS10 Open House Carnival on 27 June 2026, held at Bulim Bus Depot.
The concept transforms a Yutong E12 electric bus (SG3092C) into a unique mobile wedding venue, featuring a wedding theme exterior livery and interior decorations to match.
Concept & Modifications
The Wedding Bus was developed in collaboration with wedding venue designer Med Kärlek Inc., with floral styling by HeartWork Design Co. and marketing support from Hunter and Match. Together, the partners have transformed a standard Yutong E12 electric bus into a unique mobile wedding venue while retaining much of its original character as a public bus.
Playful touches reflecting the wedding theme can be found throughout the vehicle. A “Hop on Single” decal greets passengers at the front entrance, while a matching “Hop off Hitched” decal is pasted at the rear exit. The bus’s electronic destination displays were also customised with special celebratory messages.
The interior has been extensively decorated with floral arrangements and ribbons wrapped around the handrails, creating an elegant setting without significantly altering the bus’s original layout. A red carpet spans the entire low-floor section, providing a ceremonial aisle leading towards the solemnisation area.
To accommodate wedding photography, four passenger seats adjacent to the rear exit have been removed to create a dedicated photo booth space, complete with decorative props for guests.
Additional features have also been installed to support onboard celebrations. A television and karaoke system has been mounted above the aisle ahead of the wheelchair bays.
The second wheelchair bay has been repurposed into a compact solemnisation area through the installation of a collapsible ceremonial table. Adjacent priority seats are specially marked for the bride and groom.
Charter Service
According to Tower Transit Singapore, the Wedding Bus will be available as a two-hour charter experience operating along three specially curated routes. Further details, including pricing and booking arrangements, are expected to be announced in Q3 2026. In the meantime, interested couples may register their interest via Tower Transit’s Expression of Interest form.
Launch Ceremony & Proposal
The launch of the Wedding Bus was marked by a memorable live marriage proposal from disability inclusion advocate Alister Ong to his girlfriend, Jasmine. The proposal took place in front of invited guests and was witnessed by Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow and Tower Transit Singapore Managing Director Winston Toh.
To commemorate the occasion, Tower Transit announced that it would sponsor the couple’s official wedding ceremony aboard the Wedding Bus.
