Bus Service 138M provides a direct connection from Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange to Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic. It only operates on Weekdays & Saturdays, except Public Holidays, with operating hours matching that of the Polyclinic.

From Ang Mo Kio Interchange, the route plies non-stop to Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6, calling at the bus stop that is nearest to Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic. This allows polyclinic visitors from Ang Mo Kio Int to reach the polyclinic without having to cross the road, unlike existing bus services such as 86 & 138. Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 is also affected by ongoing North-South Corridor construction works.

After Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic, the route is identical to parent Service 138, calling at all en route bus stops.

Operator Initiative

This bus service could be an initiative by the incumbent operator—SBS Transit—as part of its second tendered package term for the Seletar Bus Package (Contract PT219), which commences on 16 March 2025.

This is suggested by the absence of the Land Transport Authority logo on the operator’s publicity poster, in contrast to other new bus services introduced under the Bus Contracting Model. Additionally, this approach is similar to Peak Period Shuttle Bus Services LCS1 and LCS2, which were introduced in 2023.

Didn’t realise LTA wasn’t involved in this, given the announcement of 861M and 258M the same day. Thought operators can’t introduce routes by themselves anymore??? SBST used to do good things like F1 night routes and it has fallen so far to be doing something like this. They somehow managed to make an even worst bus than 115

F1 night routes is no longer available anymore and were merged into existing late night bus services offered by all public transport operators, e.g. 315, 291, 292, 293, 222, 114A.

The 2nd polyclinic bus after 16M (which I felt it’s redundant). Why do we even need this bus?

Useless route, waste of resources. At the very least make it a feeder service.
