Bus Service 248M is a supplementary Jurong Industrial Service serving industrial areas around Tuas and Tuas South with connections to transport nodes at Tuas West Road and Tuas Link MRT stations.
The service serves an additional bus stop along Tuas South Way in the vicinity of Tuas Port as compared to Service 248, which does not operate when Service 248M is in operation.
Operating hours for Service 248M will be extended from 17 Dec 2023, operating during off peak periods as well.

SMRT Buses will operate this service as the awarded operator for the Jurong West Bus Package in September 2024.
History:
- 2021 (26 Sep): Introduced between Tuas Ter and Tuas South Way (loop) during morning & evening peak hours daily.
- 2023 (17 Dec): Extended operating hours to operate during off peak periods daily.

Test market for future development near Tuas Port.
I think otherwise. To extend for this service quite unnecessary as a waste of resources. Cos most of the time, there is much people alighting or boarding during the lue hours . If you extend also no point. need to turn one big round also
