Introduced in 2005, Service 58 serves as a residential route connecting Bishan, Lorong Chuan, Serangoon, Kaki Bukit and Pasir Ris. It is the fastest connection between Pasir Ris and Kaki Bukit.
The route encounters high demand during the peak hours from Kaki Bukit and Ubi industrial estates. Hence, the peak hour fleet is actually larger than the regular off-peak on weekdays. Off-peak demand is rather weak, and as such, low frequencies are the norm.

Why should we wait for bus 58 more than 15 mins during AM peak hours?? And the bus is always full during morning peak hours until we can’t get in. Can please arrange more double decker bus during weekday am peak hours????
After 4 years, it’s still the same. Always late, always packed during AM peak hour. Disgusting service level.
