Service 62 is an inter-town trunk route linking Punggol, Sengkang, Hougang and Lorong Ah Soo with Aljunied and Sims Avenue. By linking up residential estates with various MRT stations, major roads and industrial areas near Aljunied, this service encounters high demand during peak hours. It is currently the only service to loop at Sims Ave, via Lorong 1 Geylang without calling at the terminal.

- 1975 (02 Mar): Amended to ply Sims Ave towards MacPherson Ter with the conversion of Geylang Rd to one-way traffic
- 1981 (14 Jun): Amended to ply Redhill Cl, Redhill Rd and Lengkok Bahru, skipping Alexandra Rd and Leng Kee Rd
- 1987 (06 Apr): Skips abolished bus stop before College Rd along Outram Rd
- 1987 (27 Sep): Amended to ply the extended Eu Tong Sen St towards MacPherson Ter to facilitate the first stage of road expansion along New Bridge Rd
