Bus 971 should start from Gali Batu Ter (like 974 ) and terminate at Kampong Bahru Ter. It should also be full day operating daily
974 doesn’t even terminate at Gali Batu at all. And also there’s a reason why 971 cannot remain full-day although we feel bad for Pending/Petir.
971 purpose is to commute residents of Bukit Panjang towards Shenton Way for workers working at Shenton Way & CBD area. Honestly, there’s 972/972M for the rest of Bukit Panjang residents. Even Petir / Pending may have inconvenience, 971 will never ben full-day, as it’s meant to ease the crowd on Downtown Line or North South Line. So therefore, 971 will be remain at Peak hour.
As for 971 ending at Gali Batu, don’t ask me as i’m not up to LTA to decide
