Amendment of Service 66 in Bukit Batok

From Sunday, 23 June 2019, Tower Transit Bus Services 66 & 66B will be amended to serve Bukit Batok East Avenue 6, Bukit Batok West Avenue 6 & Bukit Batok West Avenue 8, skipping Bukit Batok East Avenue 3, Bukit Batok Central & Bukit Batok West Avenue 3.

Great change. Those bus stops had about 2 buses each for the people living there so it’s better for the community overall. Nice work LTA for thinking of those people with fewer buses.
Hi Ben, the re-routing of bus 66 AWAY from bt batok west ave 3 has caused great inconvenience for me, while it has benefitted you! So, do bear this in mind when you’re heaping praises on LTA. That’s all I ask of you.
This is so inconvenient for me. I am currently living at 450B and this means the nearest bus stop for me to take 66 to Jurong East interchange is BLK 169?? Although 506 is still going to Jurong East interchange, it is an EXPRESS bus which costs so much more. A very inconsiderate move from the LTA to the residents living in West Terra.
Maybe we should introduce bus service 66M which goes only around Bukit Batok East/West Ave 3, Central from Jurong East Interchange?
it is very troublesome for students and adults that study or going to polyclinic because they have to alight to take another bus to polyclinic or schools
Good move that benefits neighbourhood HDB towns normally populated with residential units but tends to be served by feeder service or inter-town trunk service only. Also an effort to reduce route duplication from Bt Timah Rd (Adam Rd) to Bt Batok East Ave 6, i.e. svc 157, 174 & 852 plying similar routes.
This amendment of bus service 66 is going to inconvenience me quite a bit. Right now i can board this bus from the bus stop directly opposite my blk ie blk 127 bt batok west ave 3. Won’t be able to do so after the route change.
Not good at all. There are many schools as well as a polyclinic located along bukit batok Ave 3, it is a bad idea to remove the service of bus 66 along avenue 3. Now the residents along ave 3 can only rely on bus 178 and 506. If woodland side got bad traffic and or highway got accident, these two busses will not reach on time. From Jurong East interchange back to bukit batok ave 3 left only one bus service, which is bus 506…guess what, this bus off service after 10pm everday and the fare is higher and less frequent. Haha…now is still school holidays, u wait until school reopen and see how’s the situation. I no eye see.
Hi Lisa, I am facing the same problem as you. Was at JEM earlier today and could no longer take #66 back home to BB Ave 3. #506 was held up (waiting time was 40 minutes!?), so had to squeeze into mrt – no doubt its just one stop from JE to BB, still the experience was awful whereas if i had #66 to take, I can sit and enjoy the bus ride.
