Fencer F1 3-door Electric Bus for Singapore

In July 2025, a Fencer F1 electric three-door city bus was sighted in China, undergoing road tests near the Higer bus factory. With a right-hand-drive, three-door configuration and Lush Green livery, this unit is likely intended for the Singapore market.

The Fencer bus range is a collaboration between Scania and Higer, with buses built by Higer in China. The bus appears to be a Fencer F1 Integral EV, and the model name will be updated when the bus is formally registered in Singapore.

Chassis Background

Launched in 2021, the Fencer range of buses was designed and produced in a partnership between Scania and Higer. Built on a Scania chassis, the Fencer bus is offered in single-deck, articulated, and coach variants, with powertrain options including diesel/gas combustion, hybrid, and full-electric versions.

As for the electric version, the Fencer F1 Integral EV was unveiled at Busworld 2023 held in Brussels. Higer touts that the bus is built on its self-developed ‘G4 modular high-end chassis’, with features optimised for safety, passenger comfort, and operation in extreme climates. As of 2025, these buses have been delivered to various European cities, as well as a large order for 450 units in Chile.
