Kallang Bus Interchange

Kallang Bus Interchange is a future bus interchange located adjacent to Kallang MRT Station. The interchange forms part of the HDB Kallang Horizon mixed-use development, offering 477 build-to-order (BTO) flats alongside other community amenities.

HDB Kallang Horizon is estimated to receive its Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) around March 2028.

The Interchange:

In August 2022, a “proposed bus interchange” next to Kallang MRT Station was featured in a map on the site of an upcoming HDB Build-to-Order flat in the Kallang/Whampoa area, scheduled to be open for bookings from November 2022. This was later revealed to be part of the Kallang Horizon BTO Project by Minister for National Development, Desmond Lee, in a Facebook post.

The bus interchange is referred to as “Future Kallang Bus Interchange” in a Land Transport Authority travel guide for the nearby upcoming Kallang Breeze housing estate.

According to these released artists’ impressions and diagrams, Kallang Bus Interchange is located between the MRT Station and three new HDB flats, spanning two storeys, with a roof garden and community amenities (i.e. childcare centre, residents’ network centre, etc.) located on the third floor. The site will be linked to Kallang MRT Station via a sheltered walkway.

The bus interchange could also be a future replacement for the nearby Lorong 1 Geylang Bus Terminal.

Charging Infrastructure

In November 2025, LTA launched a tender to install liquid-cooled plug-in chargers at Kallang Bus Interchange under Contract BD405 – Electric Vehicles Charging System for Electric Buses.

Rumours that Sims Place will be demolished once Kallang Int is ready. Hope LTA can make 62 terminate here . 61 should terminate here also.
I think the most is 4 boarding berths with 3 svc per berth with 2 or 3 alighting berths.
    11,61,62,64,134,137,140,141,175,853,961 and 985
One more feeder svc also better to serve the Kallang flats. I might think 961 will be shorten somewhere.

Construction of the Kallang Bus Interchange started in October 2023. While it is currently anticipated to open in 2029, this date is subject to change as the LTA has yet to confirm the official completion date.

Because the old Lor 1 Geylang is under Sembawang-Yishun as well for no reason that makes any sense. This interchange should be under Bedok or Serangoon-Eunos which makes more sense

Serangoon-Eunos make more geographical sense… Bedok package doesn’t have any bus service there too so no point. At least Serangoon-Eunos do have 11,140 and 141.

if 64, 134, 137 gets shifted from Sims Place to Kallang, then w/ 11, 140 & 141 -> it’ll be under S’goon – Eunos Bus Package since majority of bus routes are under the aforementioned package
