The installation of new electric bus chargers at Pasir Ris Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) is underway, as of mid-December 2025.
Pasir Ris ITH, which commenced operations on 27 April 2025, initially opened without electric bus charging facilities. However, the interchange was designed with provisions for an Electric Vehicle Charging System (EVCS), allowing for future deployment with minimal infrastructure modifications.

The current installation leverages these existing provisions, which can support up to six charging dispensers and two power cabinets, each rated at 360 kW.
Personnel from Presico Engineering, the contractor observed carrying out the installation works, were also the successful tenderer for LTA Contract BD401, awarded in November 2023. Contract BD401 covered the procurement of charging infrastructure at various bus interchanges and depots, though no bus interchanges were selected for charger installation at the time.
More recently, LTA launched a separate tender, Contract BD405, in November 2025, which calls for the installation of electric bus chargers at Beauty World, Kallang and Tampines North Integrated Transport Hubs, alongside Mandai Bus Depot. This tender suggests a shift toward equipping some bus interchanges with charging infrastructure, complementing the depot-based charging strategy adopted for Singapore’s public bus operations.
