Springleaf MRT Station (TE4) is an underground station located along the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) 2. It is built underneath Upper Thomson Road, at the junction with Thong Soon Road and Thong Soon Green, bringing rail connectivity to parks and residential developments in the area.
The station is in the vicinity of the Springleaf residential estate, comprising mostly of shophouses and low-rise private homes. Across the road, a commercial and residential mixed-use development is planned.

Construction Trivia
Contract T208 for the construction of Springleaf station and associated tunnels was awarded to Leighton Contractors (Asia) Limited (Singapore Branch) – John Holland Pty Ltd Joint Venture (JV) at a contract sum of S$383.3 million in November 2013.
Contract T207 for the construction of tunnels between Springleaf station and Sembawang Air Base crossover tunnels was awarded to Shimizu Corporation at a contract sum of S$189.8 million in January 2014.
The station was originally targeted for completion and opening in Year 2020. However, it was delayed till Q1 2021 and later further delayed to Q3 2021 in December 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
