Full-day Closures of the Bukit Panjang LRT Line will take place on all Sundays in October 2020 to facilitate testing of the BPLRT’s new signalling system.
These works are part of the BPLRT’s overall renewal programme announced by the Land Transport Authority in 2018, where the current Fixed Block Signalling system would be upgraded to a new Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling system. Full-day closures on Sundays allow for more engineering hours for the testing of the signalling system and its components.
