Service TE1 provides a direct service for of Tampines Neighbourhood 3 to Tampines Street 11, connecting with amenities such as Tampines Round Market and Tampines Changkat CC. The route also extends to Tampines MRT for the benefit of commuters heading there. Previously, commuters headin to Tampines Street 11 would have to make a transfer between Services 28 and 292.
Starting on Friday, 2nd May 2014, the new direct service will operate from Tampines St 32 (Tampines Mart) to Tampines MRT via Tampines St 11 on weekday mornings, 6:30am to 9:30am. In the evenings from 5:40pm to 8:30pm, it will operate in the opposite direction, from Tampines MRT to Tampines St 32 via Tampines St 11. On mornings of Saturdays and Sundays, it will operate from 6:30am to 10:30am, with no return direction.
From 02 May to 31 May, morning commuters who alight at Tampines St 11 (Blk 121) will receive a $1 voucher which can be redeemed at the nearby Tampines Round Market. The vouchers are funded by Tampines St 11 Hawkers’ and Merchants Assosciation and valid from 02 May to 31 May.
