Transport Hub
The transport hub serves as a transfer point for port workers arriving by public bus, private bus, car or motorcycle, before continuing their journeys on internal shuttle buses to various operational areas within Tuas Port.
The facility comprises separate areas for bus operations and car and motorcycle parking. Bus facilities include sawtooth boarding berths, linear alighting berths and a bus parking area. Other facilities include a passenger drop-off point, locker rooms and PSA Tuas Gateway Cafe, a food court.
A separate internal bus boarding area is located within the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) restricted area, accessible to authorised personnel through full-height turnstiles. Internal shuttle buses serve various locations within Tuas Port, including the wharves, while vehicular access to the restricted port area is provided separately via the nearby Commercial Gate.

Construction
In January 2024, a joint venture between TOA Corporation and Santarli Construction Pte Ltd was awarded a contract by port operator PSA Corporation Limited for the construction of an on-dock depot at Tuas Port, which included a temporary transport hub.
The project also included a single-storey container office, package substation and temporary industrial canteen. The transport hub, located south of Tuas South Avenue 16, was originally scheduled for completion in April 2025. The contract value was not disclosed.
Tuas Port
Tuas Port is Singapore’s next-generation container port, with operations commencing in 2021 and further development planned through the 2040s.
When fully developed, the port will have an annual handling capacity of up to 65 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), with 66 berths spanning 26 km of waterfront. Container operations from Singapore’s existing terminals will progressively relocate to Tuas Port.

I think its important to note that this bus terminal is a PSA project, not a LTA one. I think the main point of the terminal is to ferry the megaport workers between the port and nearby MRT stations or to different parts of SG and not to serve as an addition or replacement of the existing Tuas terminal. There’s a likelihood that PSA will engage private bus companies to provide shuttle services for the workers like how JTC Corporation (which manages Jurong Island) had contracted CDG to provide Jurong Island bus services. Hence, it is not mandatory for this terminal to have public bus services and its very unlikely to replace the existing Tuas bus terminal. In a way, this terminal is comparable to Beach Station and RWS terminals in Sentosa.
Jurong Island is different from Tuas. The roads in JI after the security checkpoint belongs to JTC whereas Tuas road are LTA’s. JI roads are considered “non public” roads and is maintained by JTC. The bus stop and the bus stop pole designed are different from what you would see on LTA’s roads. That is why LTA does not handle any transport on JI. LTA is required to operate public transport services on their roads even though the terminal may be built by PSA or JTC.
If this causes the current Tuas Bus Terminal to close…
On one hand, I think this would make sense. On the other though… looking at the renders it looks quite big, with the entire thing being bigger than some ITHs. If they are going to introduce more services, the bus lots would make sense, but for the cars, maybe less or stack them?
Okay la. That’s the closest place to all the food and beverages supplies, and a bus terminal place, for those people working in Tuas Port area, which is more than 10km away from Tuas West MRT alignment.
Looks like it’s going to resemble the Ming An restaurant bus stopping place at Yong Peng, Malaysia.
Whereas for the bus services available, probably limited stops services to various parts of Singapore.
182 might be extended here as well as 248M
