SBS Transit Feeder Bus Service 324 is a residential feeder route connecting Hougang Central Bus Interchange & MRT to Upper Serangoon Cres/View. It is the fifth feeder service to be rolled out under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP) after 386, and was launched on Sunday, 14 September 2014.

Service 324 provides residents at Upper Serangoon Crescent and Upper Serangoon View with greater connectivity to Hougang MRT station and Hougang Central Bus Interchange, along with other amenities in the neighborhood. The new route also benefited 3 schools in the developing estate, namely Holy Innocents’ High, Serangoon Secondary School and CHIJ (Our Lady of the Nativity). This was the fifth feeder service to be introduced under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).

The stretch of Upper Serangoon Crescent and Upper Serangoon View which Service 324 plies was not served by existing bus routes back then, and was surrounded by upcoming residential developments. Apart from existing housing developments around Upper Serangoon Road, the route serves new housing developments such as Parkland Residences (under the DBSS) and the Build-to-Order (BTO) Hougang Parkview and Hougang ParkEdge around Upper Serangoon Crescent.

The services continues the 32x series of route numbering used for Hougang feeder routes. It is the second feeder bus route at Hougang Central after Feeder 325.

Double-decker buses are deployed on Weekdays from 25 February 2019.

The Bus Service Operating License (BSOL) for this route will be renewed under the Sengkang–Hougang Bus Package, in which the negotiated contract term was extended by an undisclosed number of years from 2024.

History:
