Premium Bus Services typically ply between major residential estates and key industrial/ commercial nodes such as the Central Business District (CBD) or Industrial/ Business Parks during peak hours.
Designed to ease the rush-hour crowd, Premium Bus Services charge a premium fare but offer a more direct connection as compared to existing public transport options. Premium Bus Services are operated by private bus operators based on commercial considerations.
Fares for Premium services are typically priced around 3 to 6 dollars, making them more expensive than public buses and trains, but more affordable compared to taxis or private hire vehicles. Passengers are also guaranteed a seat onboard the bus.
All Premium bus services are operated by private bus companies, except LCS1 & LCS2 which is operated by Public Transport Operator SBS Transit.

Premium Bus Service 539 will ceased service by 22 Dec 2023 making its last trip from Pasir Ris to Marina Boulevard.
Sad, I have been taking this premium bus starting from SBS, then to private operator … for years I am so used to this mode and route. I guess all good things have to come to an end.
Please consider a bus from Bukit Batok/Jurong East to Ubi/Macpherson and vice versa.
I often take Bus 593. Today am trying to catch first 7am bus in its second stop. I have been waiting on the bus stop since 650 in order to not to miss as I have important meeting in early morning. But the bus just left as there are a few other buses in front, and it did not even go into the bus stop and directly just turned out. I don’t understand what is the driver rushing for without trying to see if got people waiting. Am sure he cannot see as it’s really quite a few buses in front of him and without coming into the bus stop. Feeling extremely upset as I spent the effort to be early to catch this reliable but really left stunning there with this incident. Can you help to find out why and really don’t encourage such behaviour. It caused a lot of emotional and time delay for people.
