Service 123 is a trunk route connecting Bukit Merah Int and Beach Station Bus Terminal in Sentosa. It primarily serves the residential estates along Bukit Merah, Queensway, Tiong Bahru and Bukit Purmei, offering connections to activity nodes such as the Orchard Road district, as well as Tiong Bahru and Sentosa.
With the extension of Service 123 to Sentosa in July 2017, it was the first trunk route to terminate at Sentosa. The route serves the basement bus stop at Resorts World Sentosa in the direction of Beach Station only.
This service calls at several bus stops in Bukit Purmei estate twice in different directions, i.e. towards Bukit Merah and towards Beach Station. Red and white service plates are used to distinguish the direction of travel in addition to Electronic Display Signages (EDS) on buses. Red plate indicates buses heading for Bukit Merah; white plate indicates buses heading for Beach Station.
Hybrid Bus trial
In November 2022, SBS Transit allocated Volvo B5LH hybrid buses to Service 123 as part of a trial. At pre-defined zones around Sentosa such as at bus stops and in the vicinity of hotels, these buses will operate in electric-only mode, which is emissions free.

123 Double Decker deployment
Weekdays:2 Am/Pm & 2 Split Shift.
Saturdays:2 Am/Pm & 2 Three Quarter Shift.
Sundays:2 Am/Pm & 1 Three Quarter Shift.
Just like how this service serve both directions at bukit purmei Avenue, Why can’t service 123 serve resort world Sentosa as a intermediate stop in its direction to Bukit Merah Bus Interchange? I mean, it will give great convenience to passengers willing to travel back to the city from resort world Sentosa.
Yesterday (21 July 2017 during Racial Harmony Day), SG5485P and SG5486L permed two double-decker buses on service 123. This is the first time that double-decker buses permed 123 of! I’ve never seen a ‘perm’ cameo of service 123 on a double-decker bus yet and would like you to upload some photographs of service 123 using double-decker buses of. Thank you of.
Did service 123 cameo double-decker buses before of?
Has your team or anyone captured any behind the scenes of bus 123 going through route familiarisation in Sentosa yet? Will be good to upload the photos here, thanks!
They should not change 123 direction instead they can make the new bus services from sentosa to harbourfront and it can be call (random number) or (123S)
thing is, some of us don’t want to transfer at harbourfront
yes, i agree with u that most people don’t want to go to sentosa by alighting at harbourfront, isn’t it much complicated, expecially the elderly.
