Feeder Service 229 primarily serves the residents of Chai Chee and Bedok South to Bedok Town Centre. Originally introduced as Feeder 219 in 1985, the route was later renumbered to Feeder 229.
For residents of Bedok South, the detour at Chai Chee before arriving at Bedok Interchange adds to travel time and Service 38 offers a more direct connection.
On the eve of public holidays, operating hours will be extended to align with the extended train service hours. Extended last bus timings will be provided by the operator closer to the affected day.

Can merge with 228 to form a two part feeder 224. 228 is the north loop and 229 is the aouth loop.
I think too long for 228 & 229 already. 228 reliability isn’t good at all. I discovered that 228 may not be reliable at times. So ya, just maybe leave these 2 routes alone.
And you won’t know if 229 gets potentially extended to Bayshore, cause their blocks will be 9xx Bedok.
