Introduced in 1983, Service 23 connects the housing estate of Tampines and Bedok North with the City areas of Little India and Boon Keng, looping at Rochor Canal Road. Incorporating an express sector along the PIE (between Bedok North Rd and Jln Kolam Ayer), the long express sector offers a quick connection as compared to other bus routes or the MRT network before the Downtown Line.
The route experiences good demand all day round with many passengers commuting between these two areas, especially on weekday peak hours and weekends. It is also a frequently-used connection between Tampines Avenue 1 and Tampines Interchange, serving residents and students of Temasek Polytechnic.

23 should pass through Bedok reservoir instead of passing through bartley
Why should 23 pass though Bedok reservoir aren’t 23 supposed to serve in Tampines Ave 1. Ppl lives in boon Keng and study at Temaseak Poly of course Should take 23. If u want to go from Bedok Reservoir Road to Jalan Besar or boon Keng walk to Bedok north road and take 23 near block 705,706. This is set by the ministry of transport. U can suggest to the ministry of transport. I don think the minister will approve.
23 serves Little India and Geylang Bahru (along PIE) stations as well, be sure to add those in.
Geylang Bahru is still very far btw. Even Little India also. For 23, it’s already considered Rochor.
Fully duplicated NEL and DTl which is under SBST train also. Why this service is not cut and amend while service 66 is amended? Because East area need convenience than west with many options of travel? LTA pls la
SBST 23 is very high demand unlike TTS 66. You know 23 is nearly full DD fleet unlike TTS 66 back then. You go and take Bus 23 and you see how many take SBST 23…..
