SBS Transit Bus Service 256 was a Jurong Industrial Service running from Boon Lay Bus Interchange and looping at Joo Koon Bus Interchange. It was withdrawn on 18 Jun 2017 in tandem with the opening of the Tuas West Extension of the East West Line. Lost sectors were replaced by amendments to Bus Services 192 & 258.

Service 256 served the residential areas around Jurong West Street 62, as well as industrial areas around Jln Ahmad Ibrahim and Pioneer Rd North, with connections to Boon Lay, Pioneer and Joo Koon MRT Stations, while looping Joo Koon Bus Interchange and terminating at Boon Lay Bus Interchange. It commenced service on 28 November 2015.

As part of the Joo Koon Bus Interchange opening and accompanying Jurong Industrial Estate route reorganisation, Service 256 was introduced to cover lost sectors of Service 257 as the former route was shortened from Boon Lay to Joo Koon Interchange.

Service Withdrawal

As part of the Tuas Bus Service changes in tandem with the opening of the Tuas West Extension of the East West Line, Bus Service 256 was withdrawn from 18 June 2017.

Service 192 was amended to ply the lost Service 256 sector from Boon Lay Int to Pioneer MRT Station via Jurong West St 62, while Service 258 was amended to ply the lost Service 256 sector from Pioneer MRT Station to Joo Koon Int, via Pioneer Rd North and Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim.
