Service 83 connects the residential towns of Punggol East and Compassvale, serving catchment areas outside the coverage of the Punggol & Sengkang LRT system. The route connects with Sengkang and Punggol Bus Interchanges, as well as major transfer bus stops along Punggol Road at (Blk 190C and Blk 298A).
On the eve of public holidays, operating hours from Punggol will be extended to align with the extended train service hours. Extended last bus timings will be provided by the operator closer to the affected day.

It would be possible for 83 to extend service beyond Sengkang. The NEL is already an alternative.
They should integrate this service with 84 to free up space at Punggol for future feeder services.
Then let this merged service layover at Compassvale Int since there’s so much space there.
but go ahead is slow . can go ahead improve their speed?
Really think that it is a great move to send out double decker buses for Service 83 because students usually take up alot of space (esp after school hours) , which actually causes obstruction for people who want to alight the bus.Now that there are double decker buses,more seats are available and obstruction would be prevented.Thank you,GO AHEAD!!!
Should amend the route and skip Punggol Field.New route is direct to outside Sengkang Int and terminate at the future Buangkok Int
Students from Nan Chiau High and Compassvale Sec would not be able to go home easily…
