Service 83 connects the residential towns of Punggol East and Compassvale, serving catchment areas outside the coverage of the Punggol & Sengkang LRT system. The route connects with Sengkang and Punggol Bus Interchanges, as well as major transfer bus stops along Punggol Road at (Blk 190C and Blk 298A).
On the eve of public holidays, operating hours from Punggol will be extended to align with the extended train service hours. Extended last bus timings will be provided by the operator closer to the affected day.

Just thinking, could Service 83 be amended to loop OUTSIDE Sengkang Interchange instead via bus stops 67689 (Sengkang Stn Exit C) and 67409 (Sengkang Stn), skipping Blk 323B and Sengkang Interchange. The two bus stops that could be added are right outside the interchange, and moving it would free up a boarding berth space within the cramped Sengkang ITH.
