(Defunct) Peak Period Short Service 912P

Peak Period Short Service 912P is a PPSS bus route from Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange and looping at Woodlands Street 41, passing through Woodlands Avenue 5, 2 and 1. Operating during weekday peak hours, it runs alongside Intratown 912 and alleviates crowding on high-demand sectors during peak hours.

Peak Period Short Service 912P will be replaced by SMRT Shortworking Trip 912M and withdrawn from 01 Sep 2016.

Service 912P duplicates Intratown 912, serving between Woodlands Int/MRT and Woodlands St 32 during the weekday peak hours. It is a shorter version of 912’s West Loop, which actually loops at Woodlands Centre Road.

Operated using private coaches from Commute Solutions and BT&Tan Transport, the route helps to relieve frequent overcrowding on Service 912. It is the first PPSS service to be introduced. At time of introduction, 11 trips are operated by 3 buses for both morning and evening peak hours.

Peak Period Short Services operate at least five trips per hour during Weekday AM and PM peak periods. This initiative taps on the resources of Private Bus Operators to run shorter bus services to augment the resources of the Public Transport Operators (PTOs).

Withdrawal:

With the transition to the Bus Contracting Model (GCM), PPSS 912P was renumbered as Shortworking Trip 912M and operated by SMRT Buses from 1 Sep 2016. More information at Changes to PPSS.
