On Sunday, 28 March 2021, North East Line train services between Punggol & Serangoon were disrupted due to a Power Fault which occurred at about 7.00am. This is due to a damaged segment of the Overhead Catenary System at Buangkok station.
Free Bus Bridging service was activated.
Timeline –
- 7:18 – No Train Service between Serangoon – Sengkang due to Power Fault
Free bus rides & bridging buses activated at affected stations - 7:51 – No Train Service between Serangoon – Punggol
Free bus rides & bridging buses activated at affected stations - 9:53 – Train Service Resumed
- 10:19 – Free bus rides & bridging buses ceased
