Brief background of BCM (Click to expand)

Under the Bus Contracting Model (BCM), bus routes are bundled into bus packages, consisting of a single bus depot, several bus interchanges/terminals, the bus routes and the buses themselves. With all bus infrastructure belonging to the Government, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) would contract out the bus package, select a bus operator (through a competitive tendering process), and lease these assets to the new operator.

The successful tenderer operates these bus routes and collects fares on behalf of LTA, while maintaining the associated bus infrastructure (buses & onboard equipment, depots, interchanges & terminals). In return, the operator is awarded an operating fee from LTA, and potential bonuses via an incentive framework.

The Tampines Bus Package is one of fourteen bus packages under the BCM, and the seventh package to be tendered out.

Bus services in the Tampines Bus Package mainly originate from Tampines, Tampines North & Tampines Concourse Bus Interchanges, as well as Changi Business Park Bus Terminal.

As the awarded operator, Go-Ahead Singapore will take over the 29 existing bus services operated by SBS Transit in two tranches on 5 July 2026 & 19 July 2026

Bus operations for the Tendered Package would be based out of the brand new East Coast Bus Depot.

Of course Go-ahead Singapore since the bus service 18 is inside the list of bus services in the Tampines bus package. Some amendments will be made to this bus service 18.

Maybe bus service 47 will handed over to Bedok bus package, there is no way that it can be Tampines bus package.

Seems very likely, most of the SD going over are KUBs, with alot of buses going logoless at other SBST depots instead.

Seems highly likely the E5 A22s B1 and 2, E6 A22s and the citaros deployed to tampines services would be swapped for E4s with other depots.

Possibly to prep for eBus coming in Sep/Oct, so GAS can swap the E4s out and then just retire them.

Tbh, there’s a surplus of buses after the zhongtong and BYD craze.

GAS has to pay lease to SBST until the EV replace the E4.. Instead of transfer some E6 A22 E5 A22 they send all these massage chair buses to GAS

It is already confirmed that bus service 47 is under the Tampines bus package so by the 19th of July, the entire Changi Business Park Terminal will be under Go-ahead Singapore as bus service 118 from Punggol to Changi Business Park Terminal is already under Go-ahead Singapore.

Bus service 47 is included inside this bus package as LTA has stated. With this bus service transitioning to Go-ahead Singapore on 19 July, Go-ahead Singapore takes over the whole Changi Business Park Bus Terminal as bus service 118 which plies between Punggol and Changi Business Park Terminal is already under Go-ahead Singapore.

Not sure but supposedly should be CCK-BPJ, Woodlands and Loyang but I think LTA extend their contracts to unknown duration.Bedok is under Rail Finance so the extension from 2023 is 3 years on average.
