A new supplementary Bus service 181M will be introduced on Monday, 21 March 2016. It provides better connectivity for Corporation Primary School students and staff as a direct bus from Boon Lay Interchange.
Bus service 181M’s route is an extension of Bus Service 181, calling at an additional bus stop opposite Corporation Primary School along Jurong West Street 23. It will only run on School Term Weekdays, from 0630hrs to 0745hrs.
While bus service 181M is in operation, operations for bus service 181 will be suspended. As bus service 181M does not call at Bus Stop 27461, Opp Blk 276B along Jurong West Avenue 3, commuters who regularly board service 181 at that bus stop are advised to board bus service 181M at Bus Stop 27469, Blk 276B along Jurong West Avenue 3 instead.
Prior to the launch of Bus Service 181M, Corporation Primary School is only served by Bus Service 185, which does not call at nearby bus interchanges or MRT Stations. The nearest MRT Station it calls at is Pioneer MRT Station. In addition, Bus Service 185 has long waiting times and is prone to frequency irregularities due to its long route. As such, Bus Service 181M is a much-needed bus service for the students and staff of Corporation Primary School.
