Short-Trip Services launched for Services 58, 89 and 118

From Monday, 10 April 2017, the LTA will introduce Short-Trip Services for Services 58, 89 and 118. These short-haul supplementary trips ply segments of their parent route, catering to sectors which encounter the highest demand during the weekday peak hours.


Service 58A & 58B

Services 58A and 58B will be introduced from Monday, 10 April 2017. Operated by SBS Transit, they run only during weekdays (excluding Public Holidays).

These Short-Trip services are expected to benefit workers heading in and out of the Ubi and Kaki Bukit industrial areas during the peak hours.

Service 58A Upper Serangoon Road (Serangoon Station Exit H) → Tampines Avenue 10 (Bef TPE) 8.02am, 6.22pm
Service 58B Pasir Ris Bus Interchange → Upper Paya Lebar Road (Tai Seng Station) 7.48am, 6.19pm

Both Short-Trip services will run one trip in the morning and one trip in the evening.


Service 89A

Service 89A will be introduced from Monday, 10 April 2017. Operated by SBS Transit, it runs only during weekdays (excluding Public Holidays). 

The Short-Trip service is expected to benefit workers heading into the Loyang industrial area and Changi Airfreight Centre during the morning peak hour.

Service 89A Pasir Ris Drive 1 (Blk 738) → Airport Cargo Road (Airfreight Ter Bldg) 6.27am to 7.42am

The number of trips operated has yet to be confirmed.


Service 118A & 118B

Services 118A and 118B will be introduced from Monday, 10 April 2017. Operated by Go-Ahead, they run only during weekdays (excluding Public Holidays).

These Short-Trip services are expected to benefit students from Temasek Polytechnic / ITE College East and workers from Bedok Industrial Park, heading to and from of the Tampines Expressway (Punggol Road) Bus Transfer Stop for further bus connections. 

Service 118A Tampines Expressway (Aft Punggol Rd) → Simei Ave (ITE Coll East Adm Blk) 7.03am to 7.33am
Service 118B Simei Ave (Opp ITE Coll East Adm Blk) → Tampines Expressway (Bef Punggol Rd) 5.03pm to 5.33pm

The number of trips operated has yet to be confirmed.
