Early Closures along the entire Circle Line (CCL), between Dhoby Ghaut / Marina Bay and HarbourFront, will take place over four Sundays in October and November 2023 – Oct 15, 22 and 29 and Nov 5.

According to SMRT and LTA, early closures are needed to facilitate testing of a new Automatic Train Supervision system on the Circle Line, which regulates the movement of driverless trains and is a key component of the railway signalling system. The upgraded system will facilitate the introduction of 23 new trains (Alstom Metropolis C851E) and railway infrastructure (Kim Chuan Depot Expansion + Circle Line 6) when the CCL6 begins operations in 2026.
